A crest is one of four heirloom currencies in Darkest Dungeon.
Crests are used in all building upgrades, with the following buildings requiring crests and another heirloom type, dependent on the building:
- Stage Coach (with deeds)
- Blacksmith (with deeds)
- Sanitarium (with busts)
- Abbey (with busts)
- Tavern (with portraits)
- Guild (with portraits)
However, the Survivalist and Nomad Wagon use only crests to upgrade.
Crests can be found in Heirloom Chests, as combat rewards, and as a completion reward in the Ruins, the Weald and the Warrens.
