Adoption[]

Hi, some friends and I have been working very hard to update the darkest dungeon 2 wiki and we have been making a lot of progress! However we have some issues with the main page and the fact that the main page of DD2 is a subpage. As we don't have admin permissions it is impossible for us to modify this and so I have requested an adoption as the admins have been inactive for 6 months now. Please let me know if everything is ok with that. I have already sent the request and I have been told that I should make the message here and know if there are no disagreements. Thank you very much! -Aubrey Light 05:02, 20 January 2023

Uniting this wiki with Fandom's Darkest Dungeon community (OUTDATED, Fandom Wiki archived)[]

For those who have not yet heard: Last year, Gamepedia and Fandom joined forces and are now two platforms on the same network. Later this year, we'll even become one unified platform. The teams at both Gamepedia and Fandom want to encourage our communities to work together now instead of splitting their efforts and competing with each other for readers and new editors.

I'd like to know how all of you here feel about uniting with Fandom's Darkest Dungeon community. That would mean we archive one wiki - lock it from editing but keep the pages accessible to readers - and put a banner up that directs visitors towards the other, active wiki. Anyone who used to edit the now-archived wiki would be able to contribute to the active wiki, and any content on one side that's missing on the other can be moved over with edit histories intact.

Note: No merger will take place if both communities don't agree to it.

The advantages of becoming one community working together are clear: By working together, all fans of Darkest Dungeon could build a resource on the game more effectively, keep it up-to-date more easily, and players would no longer be confused as to which site they should turn to for information.

This is the Official wiki and it would be the obvious choice for the main wiki going forward. The only thing that would change is that you would get some new editors to help create content from Fandom! It's a win, win!

I'd love to hear what you think! Heytots (talk) 20:35, 16 April 2020 (UTC)

This wiki has been given more attention than the Fandom wiki, so it would be good. --Uncutconglomerate (talk) 02:19, 17 April 2020 (UTC)

This Fandom wiki has become vestigal. Useless. --MisirterE (talk) 02:19, 17 April 2020 (UTC)

It seems a given that the Fandom should be shut down and this one maintained. PorygonA (talk) 13:48, 17 June 2020 (UTC)

I would not like to see this wiki to be archived & redirected to Fandom's. Whether the fandom wiki should be archived & redirected here I think should be left up to the users of that wiki. 63.225.116.185 01:55, 22 August 2020 (UTC)

No, shouldn't merge. This site here has better formatting and is easier to find stuff compared to their site.

Greetings and an Update[]

Firstly: User:TheSatanicSanta has stepped down from Fandom/Gamepedia and I shall be taking over as your Wiki Manager. I'm fairly new to Gamepedia so you might have to be a lil patient, but I'm sure I'll pick it up.

Secondly: The site-merger has progressed to the next stage. Darkest Dungeon Fandom has now been archived and will direct readers to visit this wiki. Keep up the good work, guys!

2021, Darkest Dungeon II[]

Happy New Year everyone! Hope this year runs more smoothly and hopefully Darkest Dungeon II has a successful development. Also, I personally think there needs to be a seperate wiki for the sequel; the introduction of new and pre-existing game mechanics will crowd articles, and it'll be easier to read something more separate. The concept of developing new tables and formatting is a bit worrying though. (Let me know if this kind of message is discouraged in the community portal). Feedback on the upcoming FandomDesktop skin[]

Hello all, I'm reaching out to make sure everyone has seen the recent blog post about the new FandomDesktop skin coming this Spring/Summer. You can read about the new features and changes here. I'm collecting feedback from communities so please share any thoughts you have on it.

Note: To revert the FandomDesktop skin, go to user preferences, then go to "Appearance." Then click on "Hydra Dark." The FandomDesktop skin covers up some information regarding enemy attacks, and it messes up some of the tables. Hydra Dark is better for this wiki. All the info tables would have to be altered to fit the smaller format. Uncutconglomerate (talk) 19:48, 15 June 2021 (UTC)

Could you provide more information on what's being covered up and which tables are being messed with? Hydra/HydraDark is eventually going to be removed, so those alterations will have to happen if stuff is broken.
--Mr Pie 5 (talk) 21:28, 15 June 2021 (UTC)
Here are some photos of the errors. The information is covered up by another table in the first image. This game involves four heroes lined against four enemies; the positions are harder to understand in the second image. Some of the tables (e.g. Provisions) are still readable when using "horizontal scrolling," but the enemy tables cannot be scrolled through.

Note: A solution has been found for the enemy tables, which is to add additional padding to separate the skills table and the statistics table. The HydraDark removal is very saddening; the wiki looked more tidier and less claustrophobic, but oh well. Uncutconglomerate (talk) 10:14, 16 June 2021 (UTC)
