Glitches are developer mistakes made due to various mistake during game development.

The primary symptoms are for example: Crashing flexible graphics, character getting through the wall for no good reason or turned on or off options at the moment when shouldn't. These glitches must be developers powerlessness or their lack of knowledge they are, but rarely glitches are inflicted specially by the developers in this case the glitch is a glitch only if it's obvious.

Main Menu[edit | edit source]

  • When the player turns off Darkest difficulty mode settings and then saves and goes to the pause menu, turning off and on sounds and not saving it, the Darkest difficulty will be activated. In steps: 1. Turn off darkest settings and save. 2. Go to sound menu and turn off all sounds. 3. Without quitting the pause menu, turn it on again without saving. 4. Check the gameplay menu for results. This glitch may occur because the settings remove some options in the menu to change by not blocking them, but hiding. The glitch does not work in other cases.Unconfirmed glitchGlitch takes more than one category

Skills glitches[edit | edit source]

  • When the Abomination is transported by a White Cell Stalk in the third Darkest Dungeon, he does not return to his human form if he transformed in battle. In this form, the Abomination lacks walking animations and will not gain stress when backtracking. Glitch takes more than one category
  • The Grave Robber had a glitch where dealing the final attack to the enemy with Shadow Fade would made her completely invisible. Afterwards, the party would lose all movement animations. The player wouldn't be able to the party across corridors and could only enter and exit out of doors. The glitch was fixed when Shadow Fade was reworked to deal no damage.Removed GlitchGlitch takes more than one category
  • In the 23 June 2017 Patch, an error was fixed where the Fanatic's pyre was dealing an "insane" amount of damage on champion level dungeons, as it dealt 30 damage per character action. The developers commented with, "OUR BAD."Removed GlitchCrimson Court DLC required

Interacting glitches[edit | edit source]

  • Sometimes traps do not show up when scouted with maps, making them impossible to disarm.
  • When a hero with a quirk interacts with a curio, the player can quickly right click an item in the inventory. The selected item will be used on the curio.
  • An infamous, but now removed glitch called "Infinite Gold Glitch" made the player able to sell a free provision item when there were two or more character provisions in a stack. This occurred because the game denied the selling of the last provision item but none prior. It quickly caught the attention of players and developers of the game, who in the patch 19 January 2016 fixed the glitch on the day it was introduced. The developers commented with, "SORRY ;)".Removed Glitch

System glitches[edit | edit source]

  • If an enemy dropped a corpse and the player turns off corpses in the gameplay menu, the corpses that already took a place will remain. It is unknown if this was a planned feature.Unconfirmed glitch

  • If the player exits the save file and returns, the heroes and enemies will restore their turns, no one will be stunned, bleeding or suffering from Blight. Skills that have limited uses in battle will be reset.Unconfirmed glitch
  • After installing the Crimson Court DLC, players noticed that they were automatically "kicked out" of expeditions into theHamlet (if they were in the middle of doing one) without receiving any earned loot, even when they completed the expedition. This was because the game was checking the player's inventory and quest condition only in expedition end screen; this happened as the values of a completed expedition were reset back to 0 in the checkpoints in the game's code. The glitch was fixed in 23 June 2017 Patch.Removed GlitchCrimson Court DLC required

Sounds glitches[edit | edit source]

  • Sometimes the sound effect that plays after a completed expedition will repeat itself multiple times. This repetitive glitch may crash the game.
