• Added in Color of Madness DLC, Tainted Well District gives a -40% Stress buff when purging Horror.

Trivia

• This item is a reference to the drug laudanum, used heavily in the early 19th century as an analgesic. It was highly addictive, due to the relatively high amount of opium it contained. It was often used as a cheap alternative to alcohol for those looking to "forget themselves" (due to the lack of sin taxes, since it was considered a medicine). It is frequently used in the writings of H.P. Lovecraft as one of the final refuges for those driven to madness.
